Ok to ride a bike in the back of a fifth wheel trailer or not designed for that?
We recently bought a fifth wheel caravan and want to take our bikes along. Someone told us that the bike racks that slide into a hitch 2 "are not designed for the rebound that occurs in the back of a truck. Is this true? We like to go camping and 4bikes missing.
In fact, they are specifically designed for just that – the bouncing on the back of a van or truck. Just make sure you firmly attach the bicycle. The rack will not appear unless you not given correctly. Buy some extra elastic straps at The Home Depot, and be sure to set the bicycle _bottom_ in place and firmly secure the frames to the rack. This will keep swinging back and forth and hitting each other.
