bicycle trailers for kids
We’ve just bought a trailer from ebay for the kids behind my bicycle, how do we attach it?
It’s a Phillips Kiddicarrier 202, does anyone out there have a photo or some explanation of how the hitch works???
I’ve searched the web for the companies website, but I can’t find anything.
The Phillips one clamps to the chain stay just in front of the rear axle. It has to be done up tight (real tight). You will need to align the clamp with the stay to get the best result.(the spring allows it to come straight) And clamp a bit on the weld to help stop it slipping.
The (safety) strap goes around the chainstay as well there is usually enough length to get a half hitch on the stay and clip it off to the metal loop on the trailer arm.
A few short rides and retighten as necessary. If you don’t get it tight enough it will wind up in brushing your spokes.
