Bike Rack?
Looking for an easy to use bicycle for my car. I want something that is safe, affordable, but it is easy to remove and put on. Me too as the guy who fit into the trunk or back of the car. I'm not a big fan of going on the roof top. I know some people who have torn away from the top of their cars. I have a two-door vehicle – not an SUV or truck.
I'm not sure what you may consider to be affordable. But my experience is that the less expensive racks are more fragile and not as safe. They are also more likely to make of your vehicle. Any bike transported abroad uncovered (mounted on the roof, rear or front) are introduced. I prefer rear-mounted racks ceiling mounts as I think the bikes are a little more protected from debris the road. I also think it is easier to put the bikes in them. One of the last things I want to do after a long trip, it is difficult to build a bike over my head. One thing to look at any rack is making sure the top tube and seat tube. This will prevent the bike back and forth. Normally I do not like recommendations to foreigners for specific products, but only relate my experiences. My current rack is a "Saris Bones" 3 bike model I am very pleased. It is lightweight, easy to implement in a variety of vehicles and has bicycles safely. The real owners of the bike are softer rubber that seems to a job well not to damage the image. (Though if I am carrying more than 10 miles to use pipe insulation mount points). The another thing I like about this frame is that the height at which the bikes are suspended can be adjusted. I am paranoid about losing a bike from the rear of my truck, while the tools on the motorway (you did it once with a rack of negotiation), so I'd like to see in the mirror. This is not a problem when you have the bike in your trunk. However, the Bones rack allows me to get the bike high enough to see. I've seen the model 2 bikes available on the net for $ 100 or less.
